Hello,

Great pictures as always. You really capture the spirit of the event. Btw, the picture you've titled 'Abe' is really 'Uncle Sam'

Opps... my bad. they look alike though don't they? *sighs*

And thanks for the compliment. I really love these photographs.

I can't believe this parade. It seems almost surreal - I mean - do people really do that anymore? It's wonderful. I'm terribly jealous. I've been invited, but never able to go to Brown Island. It seems magical.

You can find a small town parade like this in most rural areas. My home town of Bloomfield, NY has a Memorial day parade every year that is very similar. I love small town parades, they have so much personality.

Brown Island is wonderful as is San Juan Island. The parade was actually on San Juan Island - Brown Island is too small with only about 40 houses and forest like paths that lead between the houses. It really is a bit nature walk with houses around the edge.

Anyway - whoever you are - if you get a chance to go I recommend it. Its a beautiful wonderful place!!

That was me again. Dammit. Why doesn't your blog like me?

AAHHHHH... I have no clue why it won't remember you. It remembers me. I'll ask Kevin.

I'm using Firefox, if that makes any difference - I know it's accepting cookies, so I'm not sure what's afoot.
